About the event
Welcome to our Chatteris PopUpScience Centre.
We are open for families and young people each Saturday and Sunday from 10.00am to 3.30pm. Drop in and join us at any time - entry is FREE.
We will be discovering different scientific concepts through our shows and activities each day in a fun and interactive way. There will be plenty of time to explore our hands-on exhibits too, and our Science Communicators will be on hand to answer any questions you have.

11am Sonic Science
We are constantly bombarded by different sounds, friends laughing, birds singing, and even the bleep of a text message. But what is sound? Find out with the help of ping-pong balls and smoke rings!
Have a go at our take-home activity
2pm Picture Mixers
We consider how our eyes and brain work together in helping us to see, and highlight how sometimes our brain just can’t keep up!
Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer at all times. Most suitable for children aged 7-11 years. Younger siblings will be able to join in with some adult support.
You will find us on the First Floor. You can take either the lift or the stairs!
