Chatteris Community PopUp – Summer holidays

Summer at our Chatteris PopUpScience Centre. 

We are open for families and young people each each day through the summer holidays from 10.00am to 3.30pm.  Drop in and join us at any time - entry is FREE.

We will be discovering different scientific concepts through our shows and activities each day in a fun and interactive way. There will be plenty of time to explore our hands-on exhibits too, and our Science Communicators will be on hand to answer any questions you have.

Find out how physics helped get Tim Peake into space. Go on a journey into space and investigate the challenges of living, and working there - how to get home safely!

Have a go at our take-home activity

2pm Straw Rockets

I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll.....launch a rocket? During this activity we will learn a bit about rockets, we will be thinking about the physics of how rockets move and making our own straw-powered paper rocket.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer at all times. Most suitable for children aged 7-11 years.  Younger siblings will be able to join in with some adult support.

You will find us on the First Floor. You can take either the lift or the stairs!
