Coding to the Rescue
Can you come to the rescue of our space explorers?

Time & Location
27 Oct 2023, 11:45 – 12:45
Cambridge, 310 Newmarket Rd, Cambridge CB5 8WR, UK
About the event
Three space explorers are working on a newly discovered, unnamed planet known as CSC-2023 and they have 2 space buggies. Unfortunately one buggy has malfunctioned with 2 of the team on board and it is too far from their base to walk back.
Oxygen supplies are limited so we need to find a rescue plan as soon as possible. There is another space buggy but each buggy can only seat 2 astronauts so they will have to be rescued 1 at a time. There is no map of the planet on the buggies so the explorers can’t navigate their way back through boulders, craters and other obstacles.
We need your help! Cambridge Science Centre have pulled together an emergency mission control at the Beehive Centre and we need young people to join us and create some code that will guide the explorers to the stranded buggy and back again.
It’s a tough challenge as the time is limited. The mission must be completed during October half term - sign up now if you're up for the challenge!
Could YOU come to their rescue?
