About the event
Welcome to our new PopUpScience Centre.
We are open for families and young people each Saturday and Sunday from 10.00am to 3.30pm. Drop in and join us at any time - entry is FREE.
We will be discovering different scientific concepts through our shows and activities each day in a fun and interactive way. There will be plenty of time to explore our hands-on exhibits too, and our Science Communicators will be on hand to answer any questions you have.

11am Change Matters
Everything is made of "stuff", in various states. Different things may mix, or they may combine together to make something new. Find out more in this fun and interactive show.
Have a go at our take-home activity
2pm Stained Glass Windows
Glass is amazing! We use it everyday. From computers screens, to watches, windows and valuable ancient jewellery; discover the history and science behind how glass is formed with this fun hands-on activity. Get crafty and create your own window using the art of chromatography.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer at all times. Most suitable for children aged 7-11 years. Younger siblings will be able to join in with some adult support.
