Grand Arcade - Community PopUp - Summer Holidays

Summer at The Grand Arcade

We are open for families and young people each each day through the summer holidays from 10.00am to 5.00pm.  Drop in and join us at any time - entry is FREE.

We will be discovering different scientific concepts through our activities each day in a fun and interactive way.  Each week we will be exploring a different theme. This week our theme is DNA.

This week is kindly supported by Illumina

We will have some fun activities based on our theme. This week, activities will be:

- DNA bracelets

- EvoLOOTion game

We will holding our special show explaining the basics of DNA - Genome Explorer.

There will be plenty of time to explore our hands-on exhibits too, and our Science Communicators will be on hand to answer any questions you have.

PLEASE NOTE:  STEMtots will be closed this week from Monday to Friday, as we need the back space of our unit to hold our special show.  We will reopen STEMtots on Saturday and Sunday.

Make sure you take a look at the other activities and displays in the Grand Arcade as our themes will be linked throughout the summer.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer at all times. Most main room activities are suitable for children aged 7-11 years.
