About the event

Calling all budding scientists, engineers, and future innovators!

Cambridge Science Centre is bringing PopUpScience Centre to The March Community Centre as part of our exciting STEM in the Fens project.

Open to the public each Saturday and Sunday from 10.00am to 3.30pm, families will be able to enjoy free entry to explore our hands-on STEM-based exhibits, join in with our shows or have a go at one of our activities.

Today's Show

11am     Gums to bum

Take a tour through the digestive system;  observe what happens from the moment food enters the mouth, all the way until it reaches the toilet! See a series of revolting demos and even volunteer to help the process along the way.

Today's Activity

2pm    Fabulous Fungi

Bold and vibrant fungi are found in nearly every garden, but what we witness above ground are just the beautiful fruiting buds. However, what about their hidden underground network of hyphae? Find out how fungi are responsible for playing a huge part in our ecosystems, and are one of the unsung heroes of the natural world.

Find us at The March Community Centre from 10.00am -3.30pm

Drop in anytime and one of our Communicators will be on hand to guide you through a journey of hands on exploration. No need to book.

Supported by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority

Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer at all times. Our weekend sessions are aimed at children from 7-11 years.
