About the event

Calling all budding scientists, engineers, and future innovators!

Cambridge Science Centre is bringing PopUpScience Centre to The March Community Centre as part of our exciting STEM in the Fens project.

Open to the public each Saturday and Sunday from 10.00am to 3.30pm, families will be able to enjoy free entry to explore our hands-on STEM-based exhibits, join in with our shows or have a go at one of our activities.

Today's Show

11am     Change Matters

Everything is made of "stuff", in various states. Different things may mix, or they may combine together to make something new. Find out more in this fun and interactive show.

Today's Activity

2pm    Melting Snowmen

Snowflakes that fall through moist air that is slightly warmer than 0 °C will melt around the edges and stick together to produce big flakes. This type of ‘wet’ snow is great for building snowmen. We don't have snow in the centre, but using a bit of chemistry we can make fake snow to make snowmen that you can take home to magically melt!

Find us at The March Community Centre from 10.00am -3.30pm

Drop in anytime and one of our Communicators will be on hand to guide you through a journey of hands on exploration. No need to book.

Supported by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority

Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer at all times. Our weekend sessions are aimed at children from 7-11 years.
