About the event
Cambridge Science Centre is bringing PopUpScience Centre to Wisbech and Fenland Museum as part of our exciting STEM in the Fens project.
Open to the public each Saturday from 10.30am to 3pm, families will be able to enjoy free entry to Wisbech and Fenland Museum and you will be able to explore our hands-on STEM-based exhibits, join in with our shows or have a go at one of our activities.
Today's Show
11am Gums to Bum
Discover what happens from the moment food enters the mouth, all the way until it reaches the toilet. See a series of gruesome demos, which need several volunteers to help along the way.
Today's Activity
2pm Building Bridges
In this activity, we take a look at the different types of bridges, the forces that act on them and might cause them to break, and how we can manipulate these to make bridges stronger.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer at all times. Most main room activities are suitable for children aged 7-11 years.
