Wisbech Community PopUpScience - Halloween Half-Term

Cambridge Science Centre is bringing PopUpScience Centre to Wisbech and Fenland Museum as part of our exciting STEM in the Fens project.

Open to the public throughout this Halloween half-term from 10.30am to 3pm, families will be able to enjoy free entry to Wisbech and Fenland Museum and you will be able to explore our hands-on STEM-based exhibits, join in with our shows or have a go at one of our activities.

11am     Leaves and Seeds

Find out how and why leaves change colour in Autumn, and discover some of the ways the plants spread their seeds in this interactive show

Today's Activity

2pm   Wobbly Skeleton

Find out about milestones in the evolution of vertebrates and make your own in a fun craft activity. In this interactive session use a handful of drinking straws to represent the bones in animals' skeletons! Suitable for all ages.

Explore the vibrations that make sound  by making your own paper and string screeching cup to make a whole lot of noise!

Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer at all times. Most main room activities are suitable for children aged 7-11 years.
