Join us for a seaside adventure at our next STEMtots session, At the Beach! This free-flow morning invites preschoolers and their parents/carers to explore science through play, creativity, and discovery, all inspired by the wonders of the ocean.
Here’s what you will enjoy:
- Underwater explorations: Dive into a water tray filled with sea life, beakers, and jugs. Perfect for pouring, splashing, and learning about marine creatures!
- Shells and sandcastles: Dig, scoop, and uncover treasures in our sand tray filled with shells and tiny spades. A fun way to spark curiosity about the natural world.
- Squidgy seaweed sensory play: Get hands-on with our “seaweed” spaghetti! It’s all about textures, movement, and a little messy fun.
- Create your own jellyfish: Craft a jellyfish to take home! A perfect mix of creativity and learning about ocean animals.
STEMtots brings science to life with playful activities that encourage curiosity, sensory exploration, and early scientific thinking, so don’t miss this ocean-inspired session!
Run in blocks of six sessions during term-time, each session will revolve around a different theme. Sessions can be booked individually or as a block (with a small discount). They are free-flow sessions so you can turn up at any time during the session.
Our Science Communicators will be on hand throughout each session to help you and your family explore our exhibits and get the most out of our activities.
Sessions are designed to involve parents/carers so we do ask that you stay with children. Ticket price includes one child and one adult attending each session. Younger siblings are welcome to attend free of charge.
