Join us for this last session this half-term for an out-of-this-world STEMtots session as we explore the wonders of Space!
From glittering stars to creating your own planet, this week’s activities are perfect for little astronauts ready to discover the cosmos through sensory play and creativity.
Here’s what’s waiting for you to do this session:
- How many stars?: Count the stars in this fun and interactive activity that introduces numbers and encourages curiosity about the night sky.
- Galaxy slime sensory tray: Dive into a galaxy of glittery slime with stars and bowls of vibrant colours. A hands-on, sensory experience that’s truly stellar!
- Moonscape exploration: Play with sand, “rocks,” rockets, astronauts, and moon buggies to create your own lunar adventure. Perfect for imaginative and tactile fun!
- Design a planet: Let creativity take off as you use felt-tip pens and droppers to design and decorate your very own planet.
STEMtots brings science to life with playful, engaging activities that inspire little ones to think big. Get ready for an astronomical adventure!
Run in blocks of six sessions during term-time, each session will revolve around a different theme. Sessions can be booked individually or as a block (with a small discount). They are free-flow sessions so you can turn up at any time during the session.
Our Science Communicators will be on hand throughout each session to help you and your family explore our exhibits and get the most out of our activities.
Sessions are designed to involve parents/carers so we do ask that you stay with children. Ticket price includes one child and one adult attending each session. Younger siblings are welcome to attend free of charge.
