Generous volunteers donate their time and expertise to the centre. For every exhibition we receive specialist help to design interactive exhibits and have enthusiastic volunteers to help our visitors engage with our work. You could be one of them.

Volunteering with the Cambridge Science Centre is a lot of fun.

Our team of volunteers play an important role in supporting our work, by helping the public to engage with our exhibits and by providing a friendly, personal experience for our visitors.

We welcome volunteers to help as on-gallery communicators at weekends and during busy school holidays, and also for one-off special events. See here for more information about the role of a volunteer communicator. You can view our volunteer policy here and volunteer agreement here.

If you you are interested in volunteering at Cambridge Science Centre (CSC), please fill in an expression of interest form and return either by post or by email to volunteering@cambridgesciencecentre.org

Volunteer information and training evenings

Our volunteer information evenings provide an opportunity for you to meet some of the staff, see the centre, have a play on the exhibits, and learn more about volunteering with us. The next volunteer information evenings are on the following dates:

Wednesday 18th April 2018, 6-8 pm

Thursday 19th April 2018, 6-8 pm

If you are able to come to either of these events, please let us know which day you plan to attend, by emailing  volunteering@cambridgesciencecentre.org.

Further training sessions for those who wish to commit to a regular shift will take place on Wednesday 9th May and Thursday 10th May 2018.

Help support the centre

Donations help us to create exciting, interactive exhibitions and workshops, to inspire young people and get them hands-on with science. As little as £5 is all it takes. Our work wouldn't be possible without your support.
