Community PopUp – STEM in the Fens at Ramsey Rural Museum

Welcome to our new PopUpScience Centre.

We are open for families and young people each Saturday and Sunday from 10.00am to 3.30pm.  Drop in and join us at any time - entry is FREE.

We will be discovering different scientific concepts through our shows and activities each day in a fun and interactive way. There will be plenty of time to explore our hands-on exhibits too, and our Science Communicators will be on hand to answer any questions you have.

11am  Mini Greenhouses

Watch plant life unfold before your eyes at home, as we take you through the concept of germination. After we explore together how to create the right environmental conditions for seed growth; the roots will dig deep and eventually the bud will emerge and break through the soil.

2pm  Change Matters

Science is all around us, it’s involved in everything we do, everything we are and everything that there is. From solids, liquids and gases, to separating mixtures, and reversible and non reversible changes, take a fun look at the stuff everything is made of.

Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer at all times. Most suitable for children aged 7-11 years.  Younger siblings will be able to join in with some adult support.
