We had the pleasure of joining Make Lunch in Royston during the February February half-term
Head of Exhibitions, Mandy Curtis took along a activity for the attending children to do and take home. Based on snake science, it proved to be very popular.
Make Lunch are a small team of local volunteers who have been working together since 2014 to serve lower income families in their community. They recognise that school holidays can be a very difficult time for families whose children would normally receive a free, cooked meal at school, so Make Lunch Club aims to fill the hunger gap by providing a meal, twice per week, to these children who may otherwise go without.
Run by the wonderful Make Lunch volunteers and volunteers from Johnson Matthey, we had an amazing time and look forward to being back at Easter.
