Weekend Science Communicator
Weekend Science Communicators play a vital role in ensuring CSC remains open and accessible to the public when demand is at its highest. A significant portion of our engagement happens on weekends, and in this role, you will help make that possible.
As a Weekend Science Communicator, you’re right at the heart of what we
do—without Communicators, there is no CSC! Your energy and enthusiasm for STEM will help spark curiosity and excitement in young people, connecting them with science in ways that are fun, meaningful and memorable.
We’re looking for someone who’s naturally curious, confident engaging with people, and genuinely passionate about making science accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Trustee Vacancies
We’re an independent educational charity funded by our Sponsors, Executive Council and Supporters, along with grants and private donations.
Our mission is to excite and inspire young people when it comes to learning about STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths).
Our trustees are a wonderful, proactive and diverse group of people who are all experts in their fields. They share the job of governing our charity and planning the direction we take.
We are recruiting Trustees and would love to hear from you:
As we move into the next phase of our strategy, with a growing programme model and an increasing focus on sustained, place-based engagement, we are looking for individuals who can bring insight, perspective and experience to support our growth, extend our reach, and help us deepen our impact across the communities we serve.
This is an opportunity to contribute to an organisation that is working to ensure that every child, regardless of background, has access to high-quality, engaging STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) experiences. Through our work, we aim not only to build knowledge, but to develop confidence, curiosity and a lasting sense of possibility.
You do not need previous Trustee experience. What matters most is your ability to think strategically, offer constructive challenge, and engage with the long-term direction of the organisation. We will provide a full induction and ongoing support to ensure you feel confident and effective in the role.
As a Trustee, you will work collectively with the Board to ensure the charity is well-governed, financially sustainable, and delivering meaningful public benefit.

Closing date: Friday 5th June 2026
