Cambridge

Reopening dates after summer holidays:

• CLOSED for reset and staff training | 1st – 11th September 2026 inclusive
• OPEN term times from Saturday 12th September | Saturday and Sunday | 9.00am-4.00pm

Otherwise, open every weekend and all through the school holidays from 9.00am to 4.00pm. Additional timings:

• The Gallery has more than 20 fun, hands-on and open-ended exhibits, which you and your children can explore at your own pace during your 2-hour visit
• Shows are held twice a day at 11.15am and 2.15pm
• Lab Bench challenge activities run three-times a day at 10.15am, 11.15am, and 3.15pm
• The Work Bench is open throughout the day for you to explore in your own time

All sessions must be pre-booked (this also applies to those with Annual Memberships).

If you need to change  your tickets to a different day, simply log-in to your account and change the date of your visit.

Wisbech

Reopening dates after the summer holidays:

• CLOSED until 22nd September inclusive, including Saturday 12th & 19th September for facilities maintenance | Thank for your understanding
• OPEN term times from 26th September | Saturdays | 10.30am-2.45pm
• Staff lunch | 30 minute closure at 12.30pm

Otherwise, open Saturdays and on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in the school holidays from 10.30am to 2.45pm. Additional timings:

• The Gallery has plenty of hands-on and open-ended exhibits, which you and your children can explore at your own pace during you visit
• The Show usually takes place at 11.30am
• Lab Bench challenge activities tend tohappen at 1.30pm
• The Work Bench is open throughout the day for you to explore in your own time

No need to book – sessions are fully-funded (so free to you!). Just turn up during our opening times.

Term and holiday dates:

We follow the Cambridgeshire County Council term dates. For 2026, these are:

• Easter Holidays: Saturday 28 March to Sunday 12 April
• May Half-term: Saturday 23 May to Sunday 31 May
• Summer Holidays: Saturday 18 July to Monday 31 August
• October Half-term: Saturday 24 October to Sunday 1 November
• Christmas Holidays : Monday 21 December to Monday 4 January

School bookings

We open daily during term times for school visits..

In Cambridge session times are 9.30am – 11.30am and 1.00pm – 3.00pm.

In Wisbech session times are 10.30am – 12.15pm and 1.00pm – 2.45pm.
