Summer at Cambridge Science Centre

Our flagship Centre in the heart of the Cambridge Science Park is filled with over 20 hands-on, and open-ended exhibits to explore. This summer features our brand new show Genome Guardians – join us as we unravel the mysteries of the genome and save the alien Guarbles! Our Lab-bench challenge activities are all about Building a Better Future – tackle the problems and find your solutions to the environmental and human issues of building the world around us.

• School holiday opening until 31 August: 9.00am-4.00pm, every day in school holidays.
• CLOSED for reset and staff training from 1 – 11th September
• Term time opening from 12 September: 9.00am-4.00pm, Saturday and Sunday

Wisbech:

Our Fenland Centre in the Horsefair Shopping Centre features our hands-on, and open-ended exhibits to explore. Change is in the air with our show: Change Matters. Stuff is all around us but whether it’s solid, liquid, or gas depends – join us to find out on what! Our Lab-bench challenge activities are all about Building a Better Future – tackle the problems and find your solutions to the environmental and human issues of building the world around us.

• School holidays opening until Saturday 29 August: 10:30 am-2:45 pm, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (with a 30 minute closure for staff lunch at 12:30 pm)
• CLOSED for reset and staff training from 1 – 11th September
• Term time opening from 12 September: 10.30am-2.45pm, Saturday (with a 30 min closure for staff lunch at 12.30pm)

Booking: Not required – just turn up for free entry.

Welcome to Cambridge Science Centre

Our incredible space is nestled in the heart of the Cambridge Science Park at the Trinity Centre. Conveniently located on the ground floor, Cambridge Science Centre is easily accessible by car, train, bus, and a safe, well-travelled walking route.

Families are welcome to visit us on weekends and during school holidays, where they’ll explore over 20 hands-on, and open-ended exhibits. Plus, discover our exciting Shows, and experiment at our Lab- and Work-Benches where young minds can challenge themselves with fresh concepts.

Our friendly and experienced Science Communicators are present at every session to welcome you and support your children’s exploration as they tackle each new challenge. Please note: all children must be supervised by a responsible adult, thank you.

Our great value annual membership

All visits to the Centre require you to pre-book a session. Visit our Membership and Tickets page to secure your annual membership and then reserve your first visit session tickets. Each session lasts for two hours.

Already a member? Once you are a member, you can book sessions as you wish for the next 12 months.

Don’t forget, Annual Members still need to pre-book session tickets to help us manage gallery capacity and ensure everyone has an enjoyable visit.

While our experiences are designed for children aged 5–11, younger and older siblings are very welcome and will find plenty to explore too!
