Big Biology Day returns for 2024

We are delighted to be back at Big Biology Day again this year!

Aimed at all ages, Big Biology Day (BBD) is fun filled and packed day crammed with hands-on activities that the entire family can enjoy.

BBD was founded in 2012, by Ian Harvey, biologist and former Head of Biology at Hills Road. He describes BBD as “a chance for young minds and their families to get close-up and personal with biology.”

This year will be held from 10am – 4pm on October 12. It’s free to attend and is kindly sponsored by AstraZeneca and run in partnership with the Cambridge Festival.

Big Biology Day (BBD) is now the largest free-to-attend UK festival with a sole focus on the biological sciences.
