Celebrating DNA Day with Illumina

What a day! We were honoured to be included in this special day as Illumina opened its doors in Granta Park, Cambridge.

Illumina welcomed HRH The Princess Royal to the celebrations, which marked DNA Day. The event was buzzing with activity, with over 150 local school students engaging in a range of hands-on science activities . From extracting DNA from strawberries to touring the state-of-the-art laboratories, the students had a truly immersive experience. CEO John Bull and our team, Mario Satchwell, Joanne Staines and Katy Roper, introduced students to DNA through our Genome Explorers show.
