We expand ‘STEM in the Fens’ initiative in Wisbech

Find out more

After an enthusiastic response earlier this year, we will return to Wisbech this month to resume our popular ‘STEM in the Fens’ project. Operating from the former Argos unit at Horsefair Shopping Centre, the Centre will continue offering free, curriculum-based workshops and engaging, hands-on STEM exhibits through 2025. This year’s focus is on deepening engagement with local schools and community groups across Wisbech and nearby areas, including March and Chatteris.

Project Delivery Lead Joanne Staines said: “We’re thrilled to bring Cambridge Science Centre back to Wisbech following a fantastic Spring season. Starting this month, we’ll be open every Tuesday and Friday for school and community group visits.

Interested groups can contact us at schools@cambridgesciencecentre.org to book sessions.  Also, for the remainder of this year, we are very pleased to offer schools the opportunity to request free transport to and from their school to our Centre”.

This project is generously funded by the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority.

From January 2025, please visit our website, www.cambridgesciencecentre.org or check the Wisbech Centre notice boards for updates on our expanded offerings and new programming.
