Welcome to the team!

We are excited to welcome our newest addition to the Cambridge Science Centre team! Having recently joined us from the Science Museum in London, Cheryl McAndrew brings a wealth of knowledge and a passion for science that is sure to inspire!
With a degree in Conservation Biology, Cheryl has a particular fascination with marine mammals, especially dolphins and seals. But her expertise doesn’t stop there! She has also spent time in South America studying the effects of fire on high-altitude plants and ecosystems—an incredible and unique experience.
When Cheryl isn’t diving deep into the wonders of the natural world, she is likely to be found sharing some of the many strange and wonderful facts she has picked up along the way. Did you know that the record for the most paper airplanes thrown into a watermelon in one minute is 13? Neither did we!
With a love for science communication, Cheryl is excited to bring her diverse experiences and enthusiasm to Cambridge Science Centre. Whether you’re a regular visitor or new to the centre, she can’t wait to share their knowledge and help you discover the wonders of science.
